I'm currently working towards my bachelor's of science degree in Mathematics, with minors in Neuroscience and Chemistry, from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. I have had experience over the past seven years while I taught students in private and public settings. I have taught students who were considered at risk of staying behind their class, and I have taught students that already had a great academic ethic, and wanted to get ahead in their studies. I am available to tutor students in any type of math class, from elementary math up through advanced calculus and discrete math. I also tutor in science subjects such as anatomy and physiology. I have experience successfully tutoring students who are preparing to take standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT, among others. My experience is wide. I've worked with students who were behind, in an effort to close the achievement gap in middle schools, and I've worked with advanced math students at the university, as they conducted research. My students find me easy to approach, and tell me I am good at explaining abstract or complex concepts in a simple, practical way. This helps me connect with my students, and help them succeed in their academic goals.
